Elegant – Beautiful!
I think it is going to look absolutely beautiful! Can’t wait to see the finished look!
It is reported that the church will be decked out with an avenue of trees (some of which will be up to 20 ft. tall!) lining the aisle leading to the altar. And much of the greenery is coming straight from the royal estates.
Shane Connolly, floral artistic director for the wedding reveals that the trees lining the aisle at the abby will be six English Field Maples and two Hornbeams. Can’t wait to see the finished product!
Easter weekend is here – I spent Saturday with my sister and her husband and his father and stepmother in Niagara on the Lake. What a beautiful town – and Spring felt like it had arrived – the flowers were beginning to bloom – finally!
Niagara on the Lake is worth a whole posting – we walked around and looked in the shops and of course spent a bit of money on this and that – and had a wonderful dinner at the Angel Inn – a very old English style pub – excellent food!
I love Easter – for so many reasons – and one of them – its a time to get together with family! We will be celebrating with everyone on Sunday – more pictures to come on that!
And of course there are the Easter treats, and bunnies, and eggs !
I have a special bowl of eggs – ostrich eggs which I brought home from different African countries I have visited over the years. I love these eggs – the largest of all eggs – and I display them in different ways throughout the year. But what better time to make sure they are in full view but during the Easter season.
I will be posting more about my trips to Africa – and the beautiful art I have brought back from my visits to different countries.
I wish all a very blessed Easter Sunday – a time to celebrate together the great gift we have been given of life abundant and eternal!
I’m dreaming about creating a beautiful garden – I need inspiration – I have been looking…and looking!
I like the fullness and colour in these gardens – so beautiful and romantic!
I love hydrangea! Every Easter and Mother’s Day I would buy a hydrangea plant for my mother and the response from her brought so much joy. Even though this was something I did on an annual basis you would have thought it was a new idea – a gift of a lifetime – she loved hydrangea and loved to receive them. Oh what joy it brought to her – and oh what joy it brought to me to gift her with this very simple gift!
She especially loved the deep pink coloured hydrangea and would plant them in her garden where they would bloom and blossom for years to come.
With Easter coming – and with Spring here – it is time to start dreaming and planning for the garden – and hydrangea is part of the dream!
These rooms inspire me!
You can tell what your style is by the rooms that you are drawn to – rooms that inspire you.
The following rooms I love !
I love the creamy white with the blue – so fresh and beach like. And I love the look of comfort and country –
not too formal –
but still really beautiful to look at.
Pink and brown – I love it!
